Given the HR services we offer at GetAdvantage Consulting. We come in contact with several business owners, employers, employees and applicants.

Often, one of the questions we ask business owners is, what is your goal for employing?

In the same vein, when applicants come for interviews, we ask them, why do you want this job or position?

Amazingly, many business owners do not have a clear objective of why they are employed. How the employment will improve the company's bottom line, efficiency, productivity and others.

Also, a lot of applicants do not know why they want a particular job or position. They apply for anything and everything. You hear things like, "Someone sent it to me so I applied", "I just need a job. Anything to get me out of the house is fine".

As a business, you need to be goal-oriented about employment and workforce.

As a job applicant, you should be objective about the job roles you apply for. Are they aligned with your SWOT? Will they improve your skills, complement your capacity, and satisfy you?

I hope this speaks to someone.
