Meet Mr. Benjamin Zebaze: The Mind Behind a Made in Cameroon Tricycle
After two years of hard work and innovation, Mr. Benjamin Zebaze successfully produced his first tricycle. One of his prototypes was immediately purchased by Kadji Enterprise for use in their factory an early sign of confidence in his creation.
Now, he is setting his sights on expanding into the CEMAC zone and Nigeria, working to establish a solid market for his product.
When he first presented his prototype, Cameroonians had many questions:
• Was the tricycle 100% made in Cameroon?
• Would he improve its aesthetics?
• How strong was it compared to imported ones?
• What would be the price?
Mr. Zebaze explained that while he designed and conceived all parts of the tricycle himself, the engine, shocks, and axles were sourced externally. His primary goal was never just aesthetics it was to build a durable, affordable vehicle that meets the needs of Cameroonians.
On pricing, he stated that it would be finalized after thorough market research. However, one thing he made clear his tricycle is much stronger than those currently being imported
