Delta Police Nab Brothers Who Abducted, Robbed Man of N70m, Luxury Benz

FULL REPORT:
Two brothers, Maxwell Mathew (25) and Samuel Mathew (21), have been arrested by the Delta State Police Command for allegedly abducting and robbing a young man, Patrick Omoregie, of a staggering seventy million naira (N70m) and other valuables.

According to police sources, the suspects forcefully transferred N70m from the victim's bank account at gunpoint and also stole his Mercedes-Benz GLC 300, an iPhone 16 Plus, and N150,000 cash during the attack, which occurred in Abraka Community, Ethiope-East Local Government Area of Delta State.

Police operatives were able to recover about N30 million from the suspects, along with the victim’s luxury Benz, one helmet, a locally-made cut-to-size single-barrel gun, two cartridges, and two high-powered motorcycles.

Investigations revealed that the duo had been terrorizing the Abraka area with their criminal activities before fleeing to a hotel in Benin City, Edo State. They were apprehended while allegedly making arrangements to sell the stolen vehicle.

The arrest marks a significant breakthrough in the fight against crime in the state, as residents commend the swift response of law enforcement agents.
