Avoiding a Septic Drain Field Clogged Scenario with Proven Septic Tank Treatments
A septic drain field clogged with debris, waste, and hardened soil layers can’t absorb water effectively. This leads to water backup, flooding, and surface pooling. The leading cause behind this scenario stems from the formation of what’s called "hard pan soil." Sodium, commonly present in household wastewater, bonds with soil particles, turning the area under drain field pipes into a dense, impermeable surface. This hardened layer stops the normal percolation of water, leading to saturation.
