ASP USMAN NUHU -The Officer that Kpai Mene
28-year-old Oghenemine, an upcoming music artist, lost his life in a deeply troubling case of alleged extrajudicial killing. His only “offence” was going to pick up a waybill on behalf of someone.
In the video I posted, he was mentioning someone in Sapele, a lead that should have been properly investigated. I have personally spoken with his elder brother and sister and assured the family that this matter will be pursued thoroughly.
According to the police, the waybill he picked up allegedly contained a firearm. However, instead of conducting a proper investigation or allowing due process, they took his life.
This raises serious concerns about abuse of power and disregard for human rights.
It is important to note that Usman Nuhu did not act alone. There are other officers involved, and there are strong indications that some individuals are being shielded from investigation.
Justice must not only be done, it must be seen to be done.
