What’s the best way to clean white landscaping rock?

Last weekend, I finally had some time to tidy up the backyard and noticed that the white landscaping rock I laid down last autumn had lost its sparkle. It looked dull, with patches of dirt and what I think was mould from the recent rain. I tried sweeping the surface, but it didn’t make much of a difference. I don't want to replace the rocks, as they still suit the garden perfectly, but I do want them to look clean again. I’ve seen some online tips, but I’m not sure what actually works here in NSW. What’s the best way to clean white landscaping rock?

I had the exact same problem with my garden earlier this winter. The white landscaping rock looked tired and discoloured after a few months of rain and fallen leaves. I didn’t want to replace it either, especially since I’d just invested in affordable white landscaping rock that still looked great under all the grime. What worked for me was starting with a thorough surface clean—raking away debris and giving the rocks a good scrub with warm water and a little vinegar. I avoided using harsh chemicals because I didn’t want to affect the nearby plants. I rinsed everything with buckets of water since the hose wasn’t ideal in the cooler weather. The difference was amazing. If you’re unsure or want a pro to handle it, I’d definitely recommend checking out A1 Gardening & Landscaping Sydney. They’ve been a solid help with both maintenance and advice. My backyard looks fresh again without spending a fortune.
