Everest Base Camp Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive at Kathmandu (1400 m) Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel.
The trek to Everest Base Camp begins as soon as you touch down in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. On arrival to the airport you are met and transferred to your hotel. Sherpa Kathmandu is the colorful, center of Sherpa life and culture.
Evening will have the TrekYaari team for trek briefing. Here, you will be taught about the trekking route, safety measures, and what you can expect during your adventure. This is a day also used to inspect trekking equipments and make Fair well preparations. You can lay back and prepare for the adventure to come.
Day 2: Kathmandu to Ramechhap Drive, Fly to Lukla (2,860 m) and Trek to Phakding [2610m]
You will drive early in the morning, from Kathmandu to Ramechhap. You will then fly to Lukla from where you will start your short and scenic flight. Lukla is the gateway to Everest Base Camp Trek, world renowned for its mountain airstrip.
Fly to Lukla where you're met by your trek crew and take your first walk. The path slopes downward, through tiny villages and green landscapes. After a few hours of leisurely walk, you should arrive at Phakding. This brief walk helps your body acclimate gently to the altitude.
Day 3: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m)
Gradient: Start ascent of the valley The following morning you wake up to another early breakfast and start climbing through the forest until you catch your first glimpse of Mt Everest.
Day 3 makes for rougher going. You will trek alongside Dudh Koshi river, pass through numerous hanging bridges and amidst wild forest. There, on a clear day along the way, you may get your first view of Mount Everest.
The last leg of the journey is a really tough climb up to Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar Namche Bazaar is the commercial centre of Everest region. And there is a lively little town with stores, cafes and mountains. You will spend the night here to recuperate.
Day 4: Acclimatisation day in Namche Bazaar
This day means so much for you health and safety. Now, instead of climbing even higher, you will take a rest day in Namche Bazaar. Acclimatization allows your body to grow accustomed to the thin air up high.
You'll do some short walks around Namche and return to rest. “These little walks, nothing difficult, can help increase circulation and decrease the chance of altitude sickness. You can also take a walk around the town and gaze at surrounding mountains.
Day 5: Tengboche (3,860 m) Trek to and stay in Tengboche.
You will have breakfast in Namche Bazaar and trek to Tengboche following the leave. The trail boasts breathtaking vistas of Himalayan peaks. You will trek through wooded hills further on outside the village will be seen some small communities.
Tengboche is known for its monastery area and is regarded as one of the religious high points of the region. Very peaceful with a lovely mountain view from the back. The night will be spent in the area of the monastery.
Day 6: Walk to Dingboche (4,410 m) 5-6hrs walking
Today retrace back to the ridge beyond Orsho, this time follow the west valley and continue trail leads north-west up the broad valley basin.comfortable walk through some grazing field of yaks n after climbing a few small hills.
On Day 6, the route heads further up into the mountains. The scenery begins to shift, and trees are replaced by fewer as you rise in elevation. Open valleys, rocky paths you will walk past here.
Dingboche was such a beautiful village with all mountains around. Because here the air is thin, and ipso facto one’s gait much less hasty. You sleep and spend the night in Dingboche.
Day 7: Rest day at Dingboche
Another rest day in Dingboche allows your body to adjust to the increasing altitude. The days will consist of short hikes, with time to rest.

Day 8: Trek to Lobuche (4,940m)
You will walk to Lobuche from Dingboche. The hike is through alpine terrain and has some stunning views. You will go slow and take many breaks to accommodate for the altitude.
Lobuche a few stone buildings close to Khumbu Glacier. Here you will overnight and prepare for the most exciting part of the journey.
Day 9: Hike to Everest Base Camp (5,364 m) and back via Gorakshep
Today is the most crucial day of the trek. You will then hike to Gorakshep, drop you bags off and carry onto Everest Base Camp. The path is rocky and the scenery dramatic.
Arriving at Everest Base Camp is an emotional time. You will be at the base of Mount Everest, surrounded by ice and snow-capped peaks. You will trek down to Gorakshep for overnight after spending some time at the base camp.
Day 10: Trek to Kala Patthar (5,545 m), Descend to Pheriche
In the morning you make your way onto Kala Patthar. This is the pinnacle of the trek and boasts best views of Mount Everest with its neighboring peaks. To witness the sun ascend over Kala Patthar is a magical experience.
Grate after the sights, you will descend to Gorakshep and further descend towards Pheriche. I am going down and it’s not serious going downhill as the air is becoming dense.
Day 11: Trek to Namche Bazaar
You will trek downhill to return back to Namche Bazaar. You must walk downhill, so you can see the scenery more easily. Today will be the day you return home to well-trodden trails and habitats.
Day 12: Trek to Lukla
You will return to Lukla, the starting point of your adventure, on Day 12. This is the last day of your trekking. In the evening, you can celebrate with your trekking crew members and rejoice in having completed the Everest Base Camp trek.
Day 13: Fly Back to Kathmandu
Day 16 - Lukla From Lukla you will catch an early flight back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival to the city, you will have free time to relax and take scenic souvenirs or learn about the local area.
Day 14: Departure
Your Everest Base Camp trek with TrekYaari concludes today. You will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home. You will return home from Nepal with fond memories and a great sense of accomplishment.
