Why does lower back pain sometimes travel into the leg?
I always thought back pain would stay in the back. But when a nerve is irritated or compressed, pain can travel into the buttock or leg and may come with tingling, numbness, or weakness.
Things like a herniated disc, spinal changes, or other conditions can contribute to these symptoms.
Persistent or radiating pain deserves more attention than simply pushing through it.
