Southwest Airlines Unaccompanied Minor Travel
Children ages 5–11 may be eligible to travel alone using Southwest Airlines’ Unaccompanied Minor (UM) service. Travelers 12 and older may also fly without an accompanying adult without using the UM service.
For children traveling as unaccompanied minors:
A parent or legal guardian must check the child in at the airport ticket counter.
Parents/guardians must provide a valid contact number for the person picking up the child.
The Unaccompanied Minor service is subject to a fee.
📌 Airline policies and requirements can change, so always check Southwest Airlines’ latest guidelines before booking.
