Intuitive Surgical Inc has put aside $17.4 million as of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission report from March 2018 to settle the da Vinci robotic surgery lawsuits. Most lawsuits are known to be discreetly resolved outside of court. Intuitive Surgical, however, maintains that there is no risk of harm from their surgical robot technology.
