"Asake was my friend for over 5 years. I was there for him. Anytime he needed my assistance, I supported him just like I'd support my brother.

When Asake posted the title of his album Lungu Boy, I was surprised because that was my idea and nickname. Asake knows Lungu belongs to me, and he still released an album with that name.

The first year Asake became popular, I reached out to him, but he never replied to my messages, so I let it go. Years later, he used my idea, and now if I release any song with the Lungu tag, it will look like I'm copying Asake.

'Lungu' means 'Bad Corner'—an Hausa word—and I've been using it since 2018. I met Asake for the first time in 2019."
